Getting Back into the Swing of Things…

Wow! Time sure does seem to fly when you are busy. So many things have changed over the last 18 months, I’m not even sure where to begin. I am a single mom again. Ryan is almost through with first grade; they grow so fast. I have been so busy with work and taking care of him. Finally starting to take some time for myself. I went to Nashville this past weekend, and had a blast. Went line dancing, even learned a few new dances. Bought 2 new pairs of boots and a cowgirl hat. Met some pretty cool people. Really can’t wait to go back!

We are in the middle of getting ready for an inspection at work, so things are crazy busy. I really enjoyed the time away from it all. And I had a wonderful friend babysit fo r me! I’ve decided that I need to get back into blogging, so I’m going to try and blog at least once a week for now. Might try to get a few more in. We’ll see how that works out.

One of those days...

Have you ever had one of those days where it seems like everything you touch fails? I'm having one of those days today. I'm feeling very inadequate about everything in my life. I know that it's just me being down on myself, but some days it's just easy to feel that way. I hate this feeling. It's like everything at work sucks, my kid won't listen to me, my husband seems upset with me, and I feel distant from my whole family. I know I just need a little alone time for myself, and a good nights sleep...I hope! Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day...

Kindergarten

Well, My baby boy has now been in kindergarten for 2 weeks. He seems to really enjoy it. He hasn't gotten into too much trouble, but there is still time. We are still trying to get on a schedule for our whole family.
I really want to get my house cleaned out and have a garage sale in the next few months. I've got so much crap in my house, I basically need to start over from scratch. It feels like my house is always trashed...hopefully I will get it all done soon, and will be able to just relax for a while.
I have been knitting like crazy this year, and since money is tight this year, it's a good thing I have learned how to be crafty! I have started a blanket for my husband, and will be making a quilt for my parents for Christmas. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I really enjoy being crafty, it seems to relax me a little.
I MADE SSGT!!!!!!!!!!! that means promotion and $$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, it's time to get my little man out of the shower and into bed...good night all!

update on life

So....I've been incredibly busy lately! I am working on making a baby blanket for my nephew. I'm a little more than a third of the way finished, but still have a long way to go. It looks like it may be a welcome baby gift, and not a baby shower gift! It's alright though...life happens, and my sister will understand. I leave on Wednesday to go home and throw her a baby shower! I'm so excited!!!! I haven't seen my sissy in a year, and haven't seen the easy of my family in a year and a half. We are actually all going to be in town! That hasn't happened in a long time! We are also celebrating my dad's 50th birthday this weekend! I miss my family so much, and wish that I lived a lot closer to them so I could visit a lot more...but this is the life I have chosen for me and my family. I should not be deploying this year. I'm glad about thato Ryan starts kindergarten this year...I can't believe my little boy is getting so big, and growing up so fast.

Sick

So I'm sick with pneumonia. It sucks! I can't wait to go get Ryan tomorrow! I miss him tons.

Missing my Baby...

So, I've been in ALS for two weeks now, and it seems to be taking toll on my whole life. I know that it is short lived, and is great for my future, but it couldn't have come at a worse time. I like my classmates, and my instructor is pretty awesome. I'm actually enjoying it for the most part. I just really miss Ryan right now. I hate that I haven't seen him in 3 weeks, and it's going to be another 2 weeks at least before I see him again. I get to talk to him a couple of times a week, but sometimes that doesn't feel like enough. I can't wait to go pick him up...I miss him tons!!!!!

My Little Man

My kid is hilarious! Yesterday morning, I went to wake him up for day care, and he told me it was still night night time cause it was dark outside. Any time, I want to sleep in, he's up at the crack of dawn, no matter what time he goes to sleep. But yesterday, he did not want to get up. I finally got him convinced that it really was morning time, and got him to day care on time for me to get where I needed to be.
When we got home last night after day care, he was ready to play some xbox, but of course Scott was playing Guitar Hero, so he had to wait his turn. after he played for an hour, and his time was up, he came into the kitchen to help me cook. It was fun. We made hamburger helper, and homemade cornbread. He had fun measuring things out and stiring everything. Then he watched Scott play the football game on xbox. He decided he was the opposite team, and everytime Scott got tackled, he would jump around and get all excited. It was really cute!
He's growing up so fast. I can't believe that he is almost 5 years old!
